REGISTRATION FAQ - MUST READ

  • Registering for the general conference does not register your team into the team competition

    • ​Each team who plans on competing must also register for the competition separately.     

  • Hotel Room block Deadline: January 3, 2025

  • Registration Deadline: Friday, January 3, 2025

    • All attendees need to reserve their own hotel rooms unless otherwise instructed by their sponsor.

    • Rooms are not guaranteed, first come, first serve.

COMPETITION HOSTS

Florida State Emergency Response Commission (SERC), the Florida Association for Hazardous Materials Responders (FLAHR) and various vendors to the emergency response community will be hosting the 2025 Hazardous Materials Team Competition on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at The Volusia County Fire Rescue Training Facility during the Hazardous Materials Symposium.

Partial funding for this event is received from the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) Hazardous Materials Emergency Preparedness (HMEP) Grant.

Cancellation/Substitution Policy:

All cancellations will be subject to a $50 administrative fee. Cancellations must be sent in writing via e-mail to MICHELLE@FLHAZMATSYMPOSIUM.ORG by January 2, 2025. Telephone cancellations will not be accepted.

After January 2, 2025, substitutions will be allowed in the event the registrant is unable to attend, but no refunds will be issued. Telephone and email substitutions will be permitted.
